2 Chainz Shares An Inspiring Memoir About His Upcoming Album Called ‘So Help Me God’

Hip-hop artist 2 Chainz will be releasing his sixth solo album called “So Help Me God” this Friday. As the day approached, 2 Chainz shared the details of the album cover on his Instagram account with a post where he mentions his past.

The 43-year-old rapper has done many successful work so far, but he is trying something new in this album and shared 5 tracks from the album in the basketball video game NBA 2K21 because the successful rapper supports the combination of sports and music.

On Monday, 2 Chainz shared a post which was distinguished from the other artists because he didn’t use baby pictures or kid photos to tell his story, instead he shared a photo of himself when he was in the 8th grade.

The story behind the album cover belongs to a period where his family could not even afford a photo package and as 2 Chainz revealed he was both an aspiring drug dealer and an occasional thief at that time.

His father gave this advice to him while he was in prison, and after all those hard days, 2 Chainz wanted to say that as an artist who has achieved success, one should never give up, as his state and difficult times will not last forever.

Here’s what he wrote:

“I know a lot of artists have used baby pictures and kid photos to tell their story or reveal there journey , but this one different ! this is the 8th grade me , this was a proof pic because like many of us we couldn’t afford to order the picture package and yes I had on 2 chains, slick had on 3,

I was an aspiring drug dealer and an occasional thief ( when pop went to prison he told me if I steal , steal stuff I need & not want 🤔)if I could tell that person something today I would tell them don’t give up , times is hard , but they don’t last forever SO HELP ME GOD this FRIDAY .. art by me ✋🏾”
