The 20-year-old black man, Daunte Wright, is dead after being shot by police officers during a traffic stop on Sunday in the Twin Cities suburb of Brooklyn Center.
Following Daunte Wright’s death, police used tear gas and flash-bang grenades to clean protesters who had gathered in front of the Brooklyn Central Police Department earlier in the day.
The death of the 20-year-old black man caused reactions on social media. New York-based rapper 50 Cent shared a screenshot of a news story featuring Daunte Wright’s photo on his Instagram account and reacted by saying ‘here we go again.’

The Black Lives Matter movement came up after George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25, 2020. Protesters flocked to the streets across the country despite the coronavirus pandemic. On the other hand, former police officer Derek Michael Chauvin, the murderer of George Floyd, is still on trial for murder.
