Adam Sandler Says ‘It’s Terrible Day For All’ While Mourning The Death Of His Favorite Guitarist

The music world started the day with sad news and learned that the famous guitarist Eddie Van Halen had lost his long-standing cancer fight. Successful comedian Adam Sandler, who is among the fans of the master guitarist, commemorated the artist via his verified Instagram account and shared what he felt after his death.

Born in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, 65-year-old famous guitarist, Eddie Van Halen was the most important member of his band Van Halen. He was ranked 8th in the list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.

In the late 1990s, he contracted mouth and tongue cancer. Doctors said that holding a guitar pick in the mouth 12 to 14 hours a day may be the cause of his diseases. He got rid of tongue cancer with various treatment methods, but for a long time struggled with throat cancer and eventually lost the battle to it.

After this grieving news, Adam Sandler posted what a horrible day it was for everyone and said that it was very upsetting to lose this great man, who was the favorite guitarist of Sandler’s generation.

Sandler continued his beautiful words, underlining that Halen was undoubtedly a genius in his work and that he was a very funny person. Sandler ended his tribute by stating that he will miss him terribly and showed his love for his family.

Here’s what he said:

Terrible day for all. The favorite guitar player of our generation! Such a great guy. Funny as hell and a no doubt genius at what he did. Paved the way for so many. Will be missed terribly.

¬†Love to his family!! RIP EDDIE”
