Adele Explains Why She Was Featured As The Host of SNL Instead Of A Musical Guest

After the 32-year-old Grammy Award winner, Adele, had given the good news that she would be hosting NBC’s long-running program Saturday Night Live, and on October 24th, she hosted the show which was described as one of the best episodes of the show this season.

Saturday Night Live is a late-night television show that includes comedy performances. Adele’s first appearance on the show was in 2008, at the beginning of her music career, which became one of the most-watched episodes of all time.

The second appearance was in 2015 and this time Adele was there to promote her third studio album, 25. She performed “Hello” and “When We Were Young.”

Adele hasn’t appeared before her fans with a new project or album in a long time. After her long break from live TV, this time she appeared as a host of the show for the first time. She seemed quite excited but terrified at the same time during the opening monologue.

She addressed that it had been almost 12 years since she first appeared on the show and then her career took off. Adele, who has not released an album for many years but is expected to release this year, also touched on this issue of her upcoming new album.

Adele announced that this time she was featured as the show’s host, not a musical guest because the album preparations were still ongoing and there wasn’t a certain release date. In addition, the singer, who found it scary to be both a host and a musical guest, preferred to put on her wig, drink wine and see what would happen instead.

Here’s what she said:

“My album’s not finished, and I’m also too scared to be both. I’d rather put on some wigs… have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens.”
