Senegalese-born singer Akon took the first step for the smart futuristic city he was going to build called Akon City. The singer visited the Senegal president and launched the construction.
It was started preparations for Akon City, which will operate with 800 hectares of solar energy, which has been approved by the Senegalese government.
About a week ago, the first symbolic stone of the project, which is planned to be established in the city of Mbodiene in the Mbour region, was laid with the participation of the Tourism and Aviation Minister Alioune Sarr and Akon.
The name ‘Akoin’ is considered for the cryptocurrency to be used in the city. Akon said in 2018 that this cryptocurrency will operate on smartphones.
Today, Akon shared a bunch of photos of his visit to Senegal President, Macky Sall, on his official Instagram page for launching Akon City. He also shared the photos of the first stone which has been dropped for the futuristic city.
