Ariana Grande’s Mom Joan Shares Thoughts On Her Daughter’s The VMAs Performance With Lady Gaga
The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards aired on live last night from various locations around New York City. The show included performances from Lady Gaga, ArianaGrande, The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus, BTS, Maluma, DaBaby, Doja Cat, and more.
Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga debuted the live performance of Chromatica’s ‘Rain on Me’ at the award ceremony, while BTS performed their new track ‘Dynamite.’ Host Keke Palmer performed a song of her own, and the Black Eyed Peas closed the show with a CGI UFO-assisted performance of ‘I Gotta Feeling.’
Ariana Grande won Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Cinematography for ‘Rain On Me’ with Lady Gaga, also won the Best Music Video From Home for ‘Stuck with U’ with Justin Bieber.
Ariana Grande’s mother, Joan, took to Twitter to celebrate the success of her daughter and reacted to her daughter’s performance with Lady Gaga at the ceremony.
She wrote:
“Ariana, those whistle tones were just beyond stunning; you are a brilliant musician and gorgeous vocalist and a fucking great daughter!! I love you so much!! And thank you for wearing a mask, love, your mother!”
In her another tweet:
“She sure does!!! She can also crush some live whistle tones! #VMAs”
She also tweeted and praised Lady Gaga:
“Congratulations, Lady Gaga. You are a formidable artist, magnificent performer, and a glorious friend to Ariana Grande love you and what you stand for. In the words of LG ‘wear a mask, it’s a sign of respect!'”
