Barack Obama Reveals His Most Listened To Songs Ahead Of Debates During His Presidency

Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States and still one of the most beloved presidents, revealed some of his favorite songs he listened to during his presidency and pleased his followers with his latest update.

Barack Obama is preparing to publish his book ‘A Promised Land.’ The book, which will be published on November 17, consists of the memories of the former president. In addition, the book is the first of two volumes that Obama wrote after serving as President of the United States from 2009 to 2017.

Shortly before the publication of his book, Obama pleased everyone by sharing a playlist alongside the book he will publish. The list he shared includes many legendary artists and songs from Beyonce to The Beatles, Eminem to Stevie Wonder.

Saying that listening to music played an important role during his presidency, Obama revealed the songs he listened to the most before debates. He said he had listened to Jay-Z‘s song ‘My 1st Song’ or Frank Sinatra‘s song ‘Luck Be a Lady’ while reviewing his notes before the debates.

He also said that there are all kinds of performances he will always remember, Beyoncé singing ‘At Last’ for their first dance at the opening ceremony, Paul McCartney serenading Michelle in the East Room with the song ‘Michelle,’ and Bob Dylan smile at him after his ‘Times They Are a-Changin’ performance.

Here’s what Barack Obama said:

“Music has always played an important role throughout my life—and that was especially true during my presidency. While reviewing my notes ahead of debates, I’d listen to Jay-Z’s “My 1st Song” or Frank Sinatra’s “Luck Be a Lady.”

Throughout our time in the White House, Michelle and I invited artists like Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estefan to conduct afternoon workshops with young people before performing an evening show in the East Room. And there were all sorts of performances I’ll always remember—like Beyoncé performing “At Last” for our first dance at our inauguration, Paul McCartney serenading Michelle in the East Room with, “Michelle” and Bob Dylan flashing me a grin before vanishing after his performance of “Times They Are a-Changin.”

So in honor of my book coming out tomorrow, I thought I’d put together a playlist with some of those songs. Hope you enjoy it. #APromisedLand”
