Big Boi Defends His NFL Super Bowl Performance

NFL star Colin Kaepernick was taken a knee to protest the increasing police violence against black people during the National Anthem in 2016.

After this point, many artists announced that they wouldn’t perform for the NFL Super Bowl halftime show and supported Colin Kaepernick. However, some artists did not approve of this.

Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi have performed a great show for the NFL Super Bowl halftime show 7 months ago.

During a recent interview with the Ebro in the Morning, rapper Big Boi has defended his NFL Super Bowl performance.

He has reacted to internet troll who criticized him for his recent performance at NFL half-time show. Here’s the full of statement:

“How you going to protest, and you’re still participating?. If Julian Edelman was the only motherf—er out there running routes, and it was no black players on the field, ain’t no way in hell I would’ve performed at the Super Bowl. But the city was there, everybody was there. You can’t just pick and choose and be selective.

You’re either all in or you’re all out … I’mma think for myself and I’mma do what I know what I wanna do. And do what’s right for me and my people.”

He added:

“You can’t selective and do a protest when it’s convenient for you.”
