Grammy-awarded Billie Eilish showed her anger on Instagram, sharing the latest moment of Rayshard Brooks, the 27-year-old black man who wasby an Atlanta police officer.
Following the protests of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, a video released by the Atlanta Police Department shows the moments leading up the arrest and fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks in the Wendy’s drive-thru.
In the video, Brooks underwent an alcohol test before being taken into custody by the police officers, but he had failed the tests. While police officers arresting him, Brooks tried to escape with an electroshock gun that he took over from the cops. Then he was shot by his back and was seriously injured. The black man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
The 18-year-old singer shared an image of Brooks that she screenshotted from the video and urged everyone to talk about his devastating death after watching the video that shows his final moments.
“Man f*ck. Watching this video made me so fucking angry. F*ck this sh*t. Justice for Rayshard Brooks. F*ck this sh*t!!!! Why isn’t everyone talking about this?”
A die-hard Billie Eilish named Yenna fan didn’t agree with her and commented:
“Billie, I’m a huge fan of yours, I love you but this ain’t it. This man was completely in the wrong hun.”
A user named Amber wrote:
“This shit is just so fucking sickening!!!”
