Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish reveals in the most entertaining way how the ‘The Office,’ which aired in 2005 and 2013, has had an impact on her life.
Billie Eilish was the special guest of the final episode of The Office actor Brian Baumgartner’s podcast about the US version of the sitcom, and Eilish chatted with her about the show.
As we all know, The 12-episode An Oral History Of The Office was released exclusively to Spotify in July. The show’s final episode mentioned The Office’s continuing appeal to younger viewers, with Baumgartner, who played Kevin Malone on the show, speaking to the die-hard fan, Eilish, along with the show’s star Steve Carrell.
Speaking about how the drama affected her childhood, Billie Eilish said that she learned something new every time she watched the show when she was about 12 years old. She even said that most of what she has known so far is because of The Office.
Here’s what Billie Eilish stated:
“Every time I watch it, I understand something new, because I started at 12. And honestly, if you asked my parents, this makes me sound so stupid, but most of the things that I know are because of The Office.”
“It’s just not stressful. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen it so many times. I never watch it on a TV or anything. I put [my phone] on a little table, and I clean my room or leave the room, or I’m in the shower or something.”
“It takes me away from the reality of my life. It’s a safe space.”
