Billie Eilish Says Winning Record Of The Year Is Embarrassing To Her As She Praises Megan Thee Stallion

Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish made a respectful speech after receiving the Record of the Year Grammy by surpassing many good names and said that why this year’s prize is embarrassing to her.
The 63rd annual Grammy Awards were organized at a ceremony that took place in Los Angeles on Sunday. Beyonce and Taylor Swift made history with their works.
Billie Eilish won the Grammy’s top award ‘Record of the Year’ with her song ‘Everything I Wanted.’ However, the 19-year-old singer praised one of her rivals, ‘Savage’ rapper Megan Thee Stallion, in most of her speech.
Billie Eilish said it was embarrassing to have this award because Megan Thee Stallion should have won it. Eilish, who says she thinks Megan will win, did not prepare a speech, so she praised the Houston rapper for most of her speech.
Here’s what Billie Eilish stated:
“This is really embarrassing for me. Megan, girl, I was gonna write a speech about how you deserve this but then I was like, ‘There’s no way they’re going to choose me,’ I was like, ‘It’s hers.’ You deserve this.
You had a year that I think is un-toppable. You are a queen, I want to cry thinking about how much I love you. You’re so beautiful, you’re so talented, you deserve everything in the world, I think about you constantly. I root for you always. You deserve it, honestly. Genuinely, this goes to her. Can we just cheer for Megan Thee Stallion, please.”
It’s the second year in a row that Eilish has won the award. Billie Eilish won the Record of the Year award in 2020 with the song ‘Bad Guy’.
