Borat 2 Star Maria Bakalova Reveals Why She Was Afraid During Lawyer Rudy Giuliani Scene

Borat 2 actress Maria Bakalova, who played Borat’s daughter Tutar in the film, has revealed what she thinks about President Donald Trump’s lawyer Giuliani scene.
Borat 2 is the sequel to the first Borat movie and was released in 2006, and again Sacha Baron Cohen brings Borat to life. In the new film, Borat intends to destroy America; this time presided over by Donald Trump.
Maria Bakalova played a journalist interviewing Giuliani in a scene causing a great controversy. However, the 24-year-old actress supported the controversial scene that she interviewed the experienced lawyer.
In a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times, the interviewer asked the scene to explain. Bakalova said that she felt a ‘duty’ as an actor to complete the film’s controversial scene with Donald Trump‘s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, although she was afraid during the scene of the President’s lawyer.
Here’s what the actress stated:
“I knew who [Giuliani] was. I was afraid because Rudy is a lawyer, and he is the president’s lawyer. I am not an American and don’t know about American politics.”
She continued:
“But I knew that as an actor, it was my duty to do this scene to save the movie. I also knew that I wasn’t alone in the room because Sacha was hiding there. I knew that if something happened, I could make my exit.”
She also said that her heart was definitely racing because it was an intense situation by adding to her words:
“But to be honest, my heart was definitely racing because it was an intense situation. The movie has been out for a few months, and everyone can see it and decide for themselves what to accept and believe.”
