Singer Britney Spears’ sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, defends her sibling against an Instagram user who spoke about the singer’s mental health.
In the wake of Kanye West’s recent Twitter rant, Jamie Lynn Spears reposted a message from singer Halsey about people who mock those with bipolar disorder. An Instagram user headed to the comment section and wrote:
“How about your sister’s OBVIOUS mental illness? Why don’t you speak on that?”
Jamie Lynn jumped to the comment section immediately and defended her sister against the IG user’s claims. The 29-year-old actress said that Britney is fine by saying that she is an unstoppable woman. She wrote:
“You have no right to assume anything about my sister and I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters. She is a strong, badass, unstoppable woman, and that’s the only thing that is OBVIOUS.”
Spears’s longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, told Billboard earlier that the Las Vegas residency is officially canceled and that he is not sure ‘if or when she will ever want to work again,’ clarifying an earlier statement to TMZ saying that her performing career might be over. Rudolph told TMZ that the residency was canceled because Spears’s medication ‘stopped working’ and she was distraught over her father’s illness.
