Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have announced that they made a new album called Silk Sonic by sharing the cover art of the album on their Instagram pages.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak will be in a joint project and they thrilled fans with this great news. The pair have made a whole album together, featuring Parliament-Funkadelic bassist and funk star Bootsy Collins as a ‘special guest host.’
They also gave another yet great news and said that the first single arrives next Friday ( March 5), although they didn’t announce the release date of the upcoming album.
Here’s what Bruno Mars captioned:
“We locked in and made an album. The band’s called Silk Sonic. First song drops next Friday 3/5”
Anderson .Paak captioned:
“WE MADE AN ALBUM!! YALL GET THE FIRST SONG NEXT FRIDAY 3/5!! ROCKET EMOJIS AND ALL THAT!!!”
As you recall, Bruno Mars confirmed Anderson .Paak as the special guest on his upcoming ’24k Magic’ world tour. In the same year, the two reportedly worked on the material at Abbey Road with Disclosure and Nile Rodgers.
Bruno Mars’ last album was 2016’s 24K Magic and Anderson .Paak’s Ventura released in 2019. Also, Collins dropped his most recent solo record, The Power of the One, in 2020.
