Latin singer Camila Cabello still demands justice for black people following recent police brutality that happened in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
In a video that appeared on social media, an unarmed black man was shot in the back several times by police on his way to his parked vehicle in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After that, a curfew was declared in the city, and protests began.
It was later reported that the person shot was a 29-year-old citizen named Jacob Blake. Blake’s dad announced that he is in the hospital and is in good condition.
After seeing the video, Camila Cabello used her huge social media platforms to raise her voice against police brutality and injustice. Cabello made a bold statement on her verified Twitter page. Hoping for the arrest of the police officers who committed that murder, Cabello called out to Donald Trump’s government for help.
Here’s what the singer wrote:
“Praying for this man and his family. We DEMAND a new world. We need change, we need these cops ARRESTED, and we need a sign that this government has enough empathy and cares enough about humanity to do something about it. #JusticeForJacobBlake”
Camila Cabello has recently been speaking out on social media against social injustice, racism, discrimination, police violence, and many more. She helps and supports the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and other victims. She seems ready to do whatever she can in the case of Jacob Blake, too.
