Cardi B And Offset Put An End To Controversy About The Value Of Birkin Bags

A lot of controversy has been turning recently when the famous rapper Offset shared the bill of Hermès Birkin bags on social media. The most annoying of these discussions was a tweet posted on Twitter about black people using these brand bags. Cardi B and Offset could not remain silent on this issue and they gave the necessary replies via their official Instagram accounts.

In the problematic tweet, it was written that Cardi B and others convinced people that Birkin’s are easy to get and as a result, they lost their value. Also, it went on to claim that the bags were exclusive and everyone cannot get one whenever they want, so it implied that Cardi’s purses are fake.

Cardi B is a rapper known for her passion for bags and she constantly shares them on Instagram. Therefore she responded to this hater’s tweet directly as an outspoken person.

Cardi B, clearly stated that she can buy her bag from wherever she wants and expressed that she does not understand why such questions are being asked to female rappers because such questions are never asked to white celebrities. Moreover, she underlined the fact that bags do not lose their value on the contrary they add value to the bags.

Cardi B’s husband Offset posted on the same subject, and he likewise told people to stop asking about who can and cannot get what. He warned that black people’s access to luxury items should not be a constant topic of debate, and he also said that the hip hop industry is driving trends.

Here’s what he said:

“Stop letting people on the internet tell you’ll who can get a Birkin at the store, and how many Birkin’s you can get. Black people having access to luxury shouldn’t be a debate … by the way hip hop starts the trends!”
