Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B responds to the recent rumors that Atlantic Records didn’t allow her to release the music video of ‘WAP’ for serious money issues.
A Twitter user nicknamed Anti-Idiot has uploaded a video and claimed that Atlantic Records did not release the song WAP, which Cardi B collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion, due to money problems, that’s why she created an Only Fans account.
The Twitter account wrote:
“Word is Atlantic is not letting Cardi release any solo music until she starts paying them back for the money they invested promoting her previous singles 💀 It makes sense why she made an ‘Only Fans,’ she going broke like the Migos.”
Cardi B denied these allegations and explained why Atlantic Records didn’t allow her to release WAP music video. She said that the WAP music video was not released by Atlantic Records because it was too ‘vulgar’ and thus stated that it was not due to serious money issues.
Here’s what Cardi B said:
“I have been recouped, and actually Atlantic didn’t want me to release WAP because the song was very vulgar. If I own them money, you think they would of spend a million dollars just on the wap video? Just on the vinyls, we made that money back.”
