Cardi B On Police Violence: “America Is Really Not The Land Of The Free!”

Rapper Cardi B made a very important statement on her official Instagram page and criticized the authorities with really harsh words after the death of an African American man named George Floyd by the police.

A video, which goes viral on social media, recorded by an eyewitness Monday evening shows that a Minneapolis police officer keeping his knee on the neck of a motionless, moaning man at the foot of a squad car. The man, who was later identified as George Floyd, later died.

After this brutal murder by the police officer named Derek Chauvin, Bronx rap artist hopped to social media to slam the American government by claiming that the U.S. is not a free country.

In the statement, Cardi expressed her sadness and said that the police violence against Afro-American people must be stopped as soon as possible. Otherwise, she offered some options, including ‘civil war’ and ‘elections.’

Here’s what Cardi B stated:

“Enough is enough! What will it take? A civil war? A new president? Violent riots? It’s tired! I’m tired! The country is tired! You don’t put fear in people when you do this you just show how coward YOU ARE! And how America is really not the land of the free!”

An Instagram user nicknamed unapologeticgem penned:

“Thank you for speaking up on this!”

Another follower nicknamed sosonaturalnails defended President Donald Trump and wrote:

“This has nothing to do with the president, it’s the people, their damaged hearts. It’s an individual decision.”
