Late legendary comedian Carl Reiner was one of the supporters for Black Lives Matter, continuing his support until his final days.
On 29 June 2020, Reiner passed away at the age of 98. According to the statement of his family, he died due to natural causes. He was best known for his roles in The Jerk, Ocean’s Eleven, and Ocean’s Twelve, and also he had won an 11-times Emmy award throughout his career.
Today, a heartwarming photo, was shared by his family member from Reiner’s official Twitter account, shows him lying on a bed and smiling happily. In this photo, he was posing with his daughter Annie Reiner and longtime friend Mel Brooks while wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts.
The tweet also read:
“Carl had wanted to tweet this picture, taken last Saturday. As you can see he was happy and vital up to the very end. He will be sorely missed.”
Consequently, Carl was continuing to support the Black Lives Matter movement follows global protests to demand justice for George Floyd who killed by a Minneapolis police officer named Derek Chauvin in May.
