The 37-year-old beautiful actress Anne Hathaway starred in the remake of the 1990’s witch movie, The Witches, based on Roald Dahl’s 1983 classic book. While Hathaway appears before the audience as the Grand High Witch in this movie, she looks quite fantastic and marvelous.
During an interview about her new movie, she also spoke about other topics like the new Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman movie. Over the years, like the actors playing the role of Batman have changed, the actresses who play the role of Catwoman also changed and the expectations of the audience increased with every change.
Anne Hattaway most recently played the role of Catwoman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, so she gave some advice to Zoe Kravitz, who will play that role in the new film.
The most important of these recommendations was that each actor internalized the character and conveyed it to the audience according to their own interpretations.
According to Anne Hattaway, the best way to do perform a character is to internalize that character and try to understand it in the best way possible. You have to play by creating your own version, not by taking others as an example. She added to her words that Zoe Kravitz was a great choice.
Instead of comparing the actors to each other, it is necessary to admit that each director’s shooting style is different so is the acting of the actors.
The Batman has already been postponed till 2022 due to the disruptions due to the pandemic, so we have to wait a little longer to see the new Catwoman.
Here’s what she stated:
“ If I had any advice it would be literally don’t listen to anybody because I think the only way to play that role is to give your version of it. All of us had different directors and all of our interpretations were specific to the films that they were in, kind of like my Grand High Witch is specific to Bob Zemeckis and Angelica Huston’s is specific to Nicolas Roeg’s, and that’s great!
And all the Jokers were specific to each director they have, and so I don’t think you can get too bogged down with the comparison. And especially when you’re not the one doing it because your job is to give yours. And I’m so excited to see what she does with it. I thought she was a perfect choice.”
