Chance The Rapper Remembers Turning Point In His Career

Chicago-based rapper Chance The Rapper takes himself to his early career and recalls his ‘life-changing’ and ‘extremely personal’ project.

Chance posted the new tweet thread on his verified Twitter page to celebrate his career debut and the one-year anniversary of his first mixtape, 10 Day.

10 Day is a mixtape and Chance’s first step in the music industry. The CD was released on 3rd April 2012, and it garnered the attention of many music media companies when the mixtape released by Chance.

The 27-year-old hip-hop artist remembered his debut and thanked everyone who supported him in his career steps. He described it as a ‘life-changing’ and ‘extremely personal’ project.

Here’s what Chance wrote:

“Today’s the one year anniversary of the release my first real cd Optik disk THE BIG DAY!! it was an extremely personal and life-changing project, and I just wanna thank anyone who supported me on the journey from 2012 thru now. Last year was a whirlwind, and I’m lucky to have you with me.”

He continued with another tweet and didn’t forget some famous artists to thank them, including Nicki Minaj, DJ Casper, Randy Newman. He said:

“I think a lot about all the people I finally got to work with that I grew up loving! Death Cab for Cutie, DJ Casper, Nicki Minaj, CocoRosie, En Vogue, RANDY NEWMAN. It was literally a dream, and I can’t believe I got to live it.”

He also added:

“Now I’m thinking about the amazing voice-over talent I got to work with to do the skits. RIP JOHN WITHERSPOON!! I WILL NEVER FORGET.

Thank you to the legends Jackee Harry, Keith David, and Cree Summer.”
