Charlize Theron has never been asked to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there is a strange reason for this.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Big Ticket’ podcast, the host Marc Malkin asked Theron why she hasn’t been in an MCU movie before. The 44-year-old actress explained this interesting situation by stating with a simple answer. Because the Marvel authorities have never called her to portray a role in the action franchise.
Here’s what Charlize Theron said:
“I don’t know, they don’t call me.”
She also added:
“I’m paving my own way. I am creating my own opportunities.”
Charlize Theron has not been called yet by Marvel officials, despite her interest in superhero movies and even stating that she would like to play again with Will Smith for the possible Hancock sequel. It’s a bit of a disappointment for the fans that Theron hasn’t been called yet by the MCU.
She previously talked about the possible the Hancock sequel and said that she’s hopeful to play again. She stated:
“You know, for a while we [talked about a sequel]. I think closer to when the movie came out, but not in recent years, no. We’ll be superheroes with our walkers, you know. And I’ll still go! I’ll still make that movie; I would do it in a heartbeat.”
