Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ Will Be Released In Overseas Except For The US

Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated movie, Tenet, is planned to release with a traditional opening in the world even if theaters in New York City and Los Angeles remain closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Tenet will be released in more than 70 overseas countries on August 26, followed by opening in some US cities on September 3 before the Labor Day weekend. Official dating news announced just after Christopher Nolan’s request for a traditional opening and global release date from Warner Bros.

This means Tenet is released without major US markets like New York City and Los Angeles. Per Warner Bros., the major foreign territories where Tenet will open include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Spain, and the U.K. The film has been approved for theatrical release in China, though no specific date has been issued.

As we all know, Tenet has moved for the third time; its original date was July 17, but it has moved to July 31 and then August 12. In an official statement by Warner Bros.
