Former supermodel Cindy Crawford updated her Instagram feed for a special reason. She paid tribute to her grandfather Kenneth Crawford who fought in World War II on Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is a U.S. legal holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars, and Veterans Day 2020 occurs on Wednesday, November 11.
Crawford took to Instagram to unearth an old picture of her grandfather and grandmother and mourned them in a beautiful tribute. She said she respected all veterans who served the United States, and that they were heroes.
Crawford, who was proud of her grandfather fighting in World War II, added that her grandmother is still alive and is 98 years old. Finally, she sent her love and respect to all her military families on this special day.
Here’s what she captioned:
“Celebrating and honoring the veterans who have served and sacrificed so much our country 🇺🇸 This is my Poppa, Kenneth Crawford – who fought in WWII… and my beautiful grandma Ramona (who is 98 now!). Sending love to all of the military families today too ❤️”
