American stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle has revealed why he didn’t use Twitter and explained why he’s not active on social media during an appearance on Fallon show.
Dave Chappelle was a guest on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon yesterday to promote his new podcast, Midnight Miracle, which will be released with Yasin Bey and Talib Kweli.
Dave talked about why he wasn’t doing socially distant demonstrations outside when he was in quarantine and why he didn’t use Twitter. When asked by Fallon why he never tweeted him, Chappelle said he called the social media platform a ‘bathroom wall.’
Here’s what Dave Chappelle said:
“Why would I write all my thoughts on a bathroom wall?. Donald Trump, you heard that? And don’t cut that shit in post, Jimmy.”
This is not the first time the comedian has spoken about why he doesn’t use social media. During an interview in September 2017, the comedian made it clear that he doesn’t want ‘spill his guts out’ online. In the same interview, the comedian talked about the boycott of The Chappelle Show.
“I’m very grateful man. People are wonderful to me. That was very moved by the response to that and the support I got from people all over. And I just want to say thank you. If you’re watching it meant more than you could ever imagine.”
