Singer and Songwriter Demi Lovato was among those celebrities who didn’t stay silent after what happened on Wednesday in the Capitol building in Washington, DC, and shared her thoughts on her Instagram account.
The Trump supporters couldn’t handle the results of the elections as Democrat candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff won against Republican Party’s candidates, while also Warnock becoming the first Black Senator in Georgia.
President Donald Trump encouraged the angry rioters to protest the results and some of the pro-Trump supporters forced their way to enter the Capitol. They climbed on the walls and some of them were wearing costumes, but in the end, they managed to invade the US Capitol.
After these events, which many famous names mentioned as one of the embarrassing moments in the history of America, and one of the names who raised her voice through her social media account was singer Demi Lovato.
On Wednesday, Demi Lovato shared several posts on her Instagram, but in the last one that she shared she pointed out that if those people were black they would get shot immediately and expressed how infuriated she was after what had happened in the Capitol.
In the caption, the singer stated that her heart was broken by the unbelievable events happening in America. She felt so sad to believe such horrible things could happen when they shouldn’t have.
Furthermore, Lovato expressed her anger with some of her followers who told her to be interested only in her songs, explaining that contrary to what they said, she would never be silent and would always share more on issues concerning the future of the country.
Demi Lovato stated that she was very angry and embarrassed while she was in her music studio working on a special song which might be message-based concerning the events that she described as an assault on democracy.
