Former WWE wrestler and actor, Dwayne Johnson, announced Young Rock’s season one finale on Instagram and revealed what his father, Rocky Johnson, would have thought about actor Joseph Lee Anderson who plays The Rock’s father in the series.
NBC’s Young Rock made its season finale on Tuesday, and Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to remind fans of the season finale. Sharing the cover art of the series with actor Joseph Lee Anderson, who played his father who died 16 months ago, Johnson said what his father would have thought on the series if he had lived.
Johnson said his dad would have loved Young Rock and he would have praised Anderson’s performance for doing a great job in the series. As you recall, Rocky Johnson died of a pulmonary embolism at the home in Lutz, Florida. The embolism was caused by a blood clot passing through the vein thrombosis in his leg.
Here’s what Dwayne Johnson captioned:
“TONIGHT on @NBC catch those
Don’t miss our YOUNG ROCK SEASON FINALE on NBC!!!
My old man passed away 16 months ago and every time I see him on Young Rock (played beautifully by @officialjosephleeanderson) I always think I wish he was here to see all this.
I think would’ve loved it and probably tell Joseph “great job brotha now I need you to hit the gym even harder for Season 2”
Enjoy the finale!
TONIGHT @8pm on @NBC!!!”
Joseph Lee Anderson commented:
“I am big bro. I promise.”
“I love this.”
