Eazy-E’s Daughter Ebie Wright Claims Ice Cube Refuses To Participate In The Documentary About Eazy-E

Eazy-E’s Daughter Ebie Wright Claims Ice Cube Refuses To Participate In The Documentary About Eazy-E

In the ’90s there was a rap brawl between two legends of N.W.A, Ice Cube and Eazy-E, and this was one of the highlights of that era. However, later Ice Cube’s anger towards his old friend and groupmate Eazy-E waned. Unfortunately, Eazy-E died unexpectedly from AIDS complications in 1995, making a verbal reconciliation impossible.

Eazy-E’s daughter Ebie Wright was four years old when her father died and has been working on a documentary about her father’s life for years. Ebie said in a conversation with TooFab that Ice Cube refused to participate in the documentary.

Here’s what she stated:

“The only thing I will say honestly is probably the only person that actually matters to this story I’m telling, who hasn’t talked on it so far, I’m just being completely honest … is Ice Cube.”

Ebie said he had a good relationship with Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson, and even said that O’Shea’s father was willing for the film. However, she said that whenever they tried to get together for an interview, Ice Cube has been ducking and dodging.

She continued:

“You know, it really breaks my heart that he hasn’t spoken on this yet because I grew up with his sons, and I have a really good relationship with them. [Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson] actually told me that Ice Cube was willing. He was gonna do whatever for me, and he was down. Since then, when we tried to book him to do the interview, he’s been ducking and dodging.”

She also added:

“To be honest, I don’t know why Ice Cube wouldn’t talk about my dad with me. I don’t know because again, he’s been on many platforms large and small, you know, talking about Eazy-E. So, I really don’t know. I don’t have the answer. We’d have to ask him.”
