Ed Sheeran Makes Fans Pleased As He Backs Out Of His Radical Decision

British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran made a statement that made his fans happy after taking a long break from music and posted his new single on Instagram by sharing a video.

On August 29, 2019, Ed Sheeran announced that he would take a break after the huge ‘Divide‘ tour. The singer has been performing regularly since March 2017 and has now announced that she plans to take a long 18-month break.

Here’s what he previously said:

“There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months.

I was told before I came on that now at the end of this tour I’ve played to nine million people around the world. It is the biggest tour ever. It’s been an emotional day for a lot of people backstage. It kind of feels like, in a weird way, that you’re breaking up with a girlfriend that you’ve been with for years. It sounds odd but it has been a long tour.”

However, Ed Sheeran posted a new video on Instagram, announcing the song Afterglow. He said it wasn’t the first single of an album, but just a gift for the Christmas holidays. This is how Ed Sheeran got back to his musical break.

Here’s what he stated:

“Hey guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year that I wanted to release for you. It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy ! Have a safe and happy festive break and New Year’s. Back to dad land for me now, ciao x.”

This news made all the fans very happy and they said they were happy to see him playing music again. Other fans spread some Christmas messages in the comment section.

A fan commented:

“It’s beautiful! I love this!”

Another fan said:

“Thank you Ed for bringing some joy, this is just what we needed. Wishing you a Merry Christmas.”
