In a recent Twitter post, actor Elijah Wood has paid his tribute to The Lord Of The Rings star Ian Holm, who is known for his role Bilbo Baggins, after hearing his sorrowful death.
The manager of Holm, who made a statement on behalf of his family, reported that Ian Holm passed away at the age of 88 because of Parkinson’s disease which he has been fighting for years.
After his tragic death, Elijah Wood, known for his role as Frodo Baggins in the famous trilogy, jumped to Twitter and showed his respect for the late star and said that he felt so sad by penning a brief message.
Here’s what he said:
“So sad to hear that the singular, brilliant and vibrant, Sir Ian Holm has passed. Farewell, uncle.”
A fan quoted a saying from Bilbo Baggins and wrote:
“‘One day I’ll remember. Remember everything that happened: the good, the bad, those who survived… and those that did not.’ – Bilbo Baggins.”
“I was doing fine up until you said ‘farewell, uncle.’ Goodbye, dear Bilbo.”
