Elijah Wood Reacts To The Recent Mass Shooting Incidents In The United States And Says ‘When Is Enough Enough’

Actor Elijah Wood, who is best known for his portrayal of Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy and in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, has tweeted out about the recent mass shooting incidents in the United States.

As you recall, Asian-Americans have been living in fear for months due to the rising wave of racism, hatred, violence, and rhetoric. The killing of eight people, including four South Korean and six Asian women, in the recent horrific incident in Atlanta, and the association of a pandemic in China with racial causes further surprised and horrified this stigmatized community.

Authorities reported that ten people, including a Boulder police officer, were killed by the mass shooting at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, on Monday.

Following these horrific incidents, Elijah Wood took to Twitter and said how sorry he was about the attacks, saying that he cannot accept that this is normal and cannot be changed.

Here’s what Elijah Wood tweeted:

“The horrendous shootings in Atlanta and now Boulder? When is enough enough? We CANNOT accept that this is normal and can’t be changed. This is beyond sad and exhausting. So much love to the victims and their families and to a future where this is no longer a part of our reality.”
