Rapper Future has kept his social media silence following the incident that killing of George Floyd by a white police officer in the city of Minnesota, but until today.
On 29 May, the rapper showed that he would remain silent against the recent incidents by tweeting a zipper-mouth face emoji. However, the 36-year-old rapper broke his silence and sent a message to George Floyd’s family.
In the message, Future sent his prayers for rapper George Floyd and his family. He didn’t make more comments on the incident although he showed his feelings in a short tweet.
Here’s what Future wrote:
“Prayers Up for George Floyd family.”
However, many followers and social media users criticized the rapper after his controversial tweet and accused him of not supporting protests. In addition, they reacted to him by saying that he did not use his social media platform effectively.
A user wrote:
“You have a huge platform and you use it to say prayers up? Jesus Christ.”
Another follower penned:
“You tweeted more about your baby mama.”
