2020 with the gang

Three days ago, he penned down a long letter about how he feel about the crowd that he played in 2019 and said:

“Top of 2010 I was performing at SXSW for the first time, I had one show case booked and was sleeping on the floor of a friend of a friends house.

There were 3 or 4 people in the “crowd” and one of them was my manager.

Unsigned and broke, I kept releasing music, making all my own beats engineering and mixing everything myself. My team stayed by me. We kept touring even when we couldn’t even afford motel rooms, barely making enough money for gas to get to the next city.”

Fast forward a decade and I’ve released 3 albums on RCA that all went platinum, on the verge of releasing the 4th. Mixtapes on mixtapes. Played literally thousands of shows and sold them out around the world. It was hard as fuck to get here but I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. I’m actually shook right now writing this actually reflecting on a decade. Grateful for the best team and the best fans in the world. Grateful for all the people I’ve met along the way. Grateful for everyone who stuck by me this whole time. Crazy the difference a decade makes. Can’t wait for the next one.
