Game of Thrones actor Charles Dance, who portrayed Tywin Lannister in the series, has revealed what he thinks about the final season of the series.
Tywin Lannister, the character played by Charles Dance, was one of the most important characters in the series. He was killed by his son Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) with a crossbow while he was in the lavatory in the season four finale.
During a recent interview with ‘Pop Culture,’ Charles Dance spoke out against the final season of Game of Thrones, admitting that he found himself feeling disappointed with the ending, despite being a big fan of the series throughout the years.
Here’s what the respected actor stated:
“I continued to watch Game Of Thrones even after I’d been killed off in the lavatory. Because I thought it’s a fantastic television show, you know? I know the finale satisfied a lot of people. It also disappointed a lot of people, and I’m in the latter camp.”
That doesn’t mean that Dance doesn’t respect the show’s creators David Benioff and D.B. On the contrary, he thinks the two producers have done an extraordinary job. However, he stated that these comments were made as fan expectations were very high.
