Actress Nathalie Emmanuel made a daring statement on her Instagram account and raised her voice for every name who killed and brutalized by the police in the U.S. and in the U.K.
After the sad death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, who was killed while in police custody in Minneapolis as a white officer knelt on his neck for an extended time, the protests are still continuing across the United States and many countries.
Today, Nathalie Emmanuel shared a new photo of herself during the peaceful protests at Hyde Park on Instagram and penned a bold statement about racism and police brutality.
As you might see in the photo, Game of Thrones star appeared at the protests with other protesters in the U.K. and she was holding a banner with ‘enough is enough’ written on it, wearing a full-black outfit and a protective mask.
Here’s what Nathalie Emmanuel penned:
“I cried grown woman tears today as I screamed the names George Floyd and Breonna Taylor…. and for every other name brutalized and murdered by police in the US… and in the UK…”
The caption continued:
“They are the originators of this terror. Just for being black. I raised my voice and my fist for my fellow black brothers and sisters worldwide… because of the culture of racism towards black people globally. Enough is enough. Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter.”
An Instagram follower named Paulette commented:
“Amazing Nat!! So proud of you. Brings tears to my eyes.”
Another user named Johnny said:
“Love you Mate. With you all the way homie.”
