Breaking Bad and its prequel Better Call Saul villain Giancarlo Esposito seems to be ready to play another villain of the upcoming video game called ‘Far Cry 6.’
Last year, Ubisoft announced the official trailer of Far Cry 6, and we have seen that Giancarlo Esposito star takes on a lead role as president Antón Castillo, who is the dictator of a small fictional island nation, Yara.
Far Cry 6’s first release date has been announced. Actor Giancarlo Esposito shared an animation showing how his own face was adapted for the game to announce the release date. The actor also marked October 7, 2021, as the release date of the movie.
Here’s what Giancarlo Esposito said:
“Such a cool process. Shout out to the brilliant artists behind it all. #FarCry6 drops Oct 7th. Hope you’re ready. #behindthescenes #fbf”

Back in July 2020, the 62-year-old actor spoke to Variety and shared the details about his role in the video game. He said:
“He’s in the middle of, unfortunately, a revolution. He’s trying to empower the people to understand that they need strong leadership now.”
Castillo and Esposito’s ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’ characters Gustavo Fring resemble each other because they are both ruthless and accent. That’s why he goes a little deeper into his character, Castillo. He explained:
“[Antón], although being born with a silver spoon in his mouth, was unable to rule until the revolutionaries that ousted his father was put away. We meet him at a time where he’s trying to empower his son to take up his mantle and really embrace ideas that would allow him to see that soon he will probably be the next leader in this country.”
