Here’s Why The Walking Dead Producers Reject Dave Bautista’s Desire To Portray A Zombie

Retired professional wrestler and action movie actor Dave Bautista reveals his desire to portray a zombie in The Walking Dead and says why he was rejected by the drama crew.

Dave Bautista proved himself to be a great new Hollywood tough guy with his role as Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This year, he will star in Zack Snyder’s long-awaited new movie Army Of The Dead, a post-apocalyptic zombie heist film

The 52-year-old actor announced that he wanted to play a zombie in The Walking Dead, but was rejected because he was too big. Even though he said that he had worked for the role of zombies for years and wanted to play for free, his request was not fulfilled.

Here’s what Dave Bautista said:

“I’m a zombie fan. I tried to get on Walking Dead for years, I said I would come and play a zombie for free, but they said, ‘You’re too big!'”

Dave Bautista also spoke about Zack Snyder’s movie Army of the Dead, which will be aired on Netflix, and revealed his pleasure for being a zombie movie.

He added:

“For me, there had to be something special about a zombie film for me to sign up. What sets us apart is the heist. But there’s a whole bunch of different layers to this film.”
