Hugh Jackman Says Goodbye To Regis Philbin Who Made Whole World Happy

Actor Hugh Jackman shows his respect and love for late legendary actor Regis Philbin, sharing a beautiful tribute on his verified Twitter account.

Regis Philbin, the indefatigable and downright neighborly host of talk shows and game shows who spent more time in front of a television camera than anyone else, has died at the age of 88. His family confirmed that he passed away due to natural causes.

Jackman re-posted THR’s news about Regis and penned down an emotional letter to the legendary actor. Wolverine actor said in his tweet that he made whole the US feel it all, especially made happy the fans.

Here’s what Jackman wrote:

“Regis – You made us feel it all. But, most of all. You made us happy! Our condolences to Joy and your gorgeous family. Rest well, my friend.”

Regis Philbin hosted the ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ and made many people achieve their dreams. He also influenced people with many talk shows and television shows in the 80s.

Philbin also spent about 17,000 hours on television and recorded his name on the book of Guinness World Records, surpassing Hugh Downs’ record. He joined Broadcast Hall of Fame in 2006.
