Ice Cube Mourns Director John Singleton As He Celebrates The 30th Anniversary Of Boyz N The Hood

Rapper, actor, and filmmaker, O’Shea Jackson, better known by his stage name Ice Cube, had updated his Twitter timeline by celebrating the 30th anniversary of Boyz N The Hood. He also mourned the director of the movie, John Singleton.
Boyz N The Hood director died at 51 after suffering a stroke in 2019. The 1991 film earned him two Oscar nods and a spot in history as the youngest person and first African American ever nominated for best director.
On Twitter, Ice Cube uploaded an illustration of the cover art of the movie and celebrated the 30th anniversary. He also tagged the name of the director to show his gratitude to the iconic director.

The film won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Motion Picture and the MTV Movie Award for Best New Filmmaker. In addition to Ice Cube, the film starred names such as Cuba Gooding Jr., Laurence Fishburne, Morris Chestnut, and Angela Bassett.
