Ice Cube Reveals How He Learned To Rap As He Says Goodbye To Whodini Rapper John ‘Ecstasy’ Fletcher

One of the members of N.W.A and actor, Ice Cube paid his tribute to his close friend and Whodini rapper John ‘Ecstasy’ Fletcher by sharing a statement on his official Instagram account.

Whodini rapper John ‘Ecstasy’ Fletcher died at the age of 56. News of his death was given on Wednesday by the musician and journalist Questlove.

The late rapper, who achieved many successes in his career, formed the Whodini group with Jalil Hutchins in Brooklyn, New York, in 1982. He later joined Grandmaster Dee in 1986. The group received the third annual Black Music Honors Hip Hop Icon Award in 2018.

Following the news of his devastating death, several artists jumped to their social media platforms to pay their tributes to the late rapper. One of them is Ice Cube.

The 51-year-old rapper shared his condolences by sharing one of the late rapper’s photo and said goodbye to his friend. In his message, Ice Cube revealed how he and the hip-hop community learned to rap by stating that he showed everyone how to do it.

“Thank you Ecstasy for showing us how to do it. RIP.”
