Iggy Azalea Responds To Backlash Over She’s Not Supporting Britney Spears

In a recent post on Twitter, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, has responded to backlash over she’s not supporting iconic singer Britney Spears.

After 13 years of guardianship in which her father controlled her life and money, Britney Spears has broken her silence. Speaking on Wednesday in the case of her father Jamie Spears’ 13-year guardianship, Spears called for an end to this emotional abuse that had demoralized her and left her feeling enslaved.

Stating that this situation made the singer’s mental health worse and she was in a difficult situation, the fans of the singer started a “Free Britney” campaign and demanded that Spears be able to control her own life.

In a viral tweet that attacked Iggy Azalea, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and many celebrities, fans criticized these artists for not raising their voices for the famous singer after Britney’s statements.

Iggy Azalea took to Twitter to respond to angry fans, saying she supports Spears and can speak up if she needs to speak on her behalf. She tweeted:

“I am actually here to support someone in a way that’s helpful and also mindful. Britney has said in her own words, she’s embarrassed to even share this with the world. If she needed me to speak on her behalf, That message has been delivered to her. Other than that – I’m good.

I’ve done what I’m supposed to do, I’ve reached out. I’m not supposed to be mindlessly telling you all whatever was happening because half of these people are just here for entertainment not to help. I actually care & she can use me if she needs my voice. Leave me alone PLEASE.”
