Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has revealed why she called her latest album ‘End of an Era’ after a question from one of her followers on Twitter.
‘End of an Era’ is the upcoming third studio album by rapper Iggy Azalea. It is set to be released in 2021 through Bad Dreams Records and Empire Distribution. Azalea announced the album’s title on 21 August 2020 and said the title was a reference to the end of her twenties.
Iggy made a similar statement to the Twitter user who asked the question and later deleted it.
She said that being 30 years old really made her think of the last ten years for herself and that she gave that name to her album because she wanted to make a time capsule of what she loved.
Here’s what Iggy Azalea said:
“Turning 30 made me really think back on the last decade of my life & I just wanted to take all the shit I’ve loved and make a time capsule of it.”
A fan commented:
“You are still a young girl”
“Who said I wasn’t?”
See the Twitter post below.
the question was: why did I want to name it “end of an era”
