J.K. Rowling Announces That She Published Her First Children’s Book 13 Years After ‘Harry Potter’

British novel author J.K. Rowling announced on her verified Twitter account that she has published the children’s book The Ickabog, which she has been working on for years.

The Ickabog is a fairy tale. The story was published online in installments by Rowling before its official release in November 2020. Also, Ickabog is Rowling’s first children’s book since ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ was published in 2007.

On Tuesday, Rowling took to Twitter to announce she released The Ickabog which was completed with stunning pictures created by young illustrators around the world, and she donated her royalties to Volant, to help medical and frontline charities support vulnerable groups impacted by Covid-19.

Here’s what she stated:

“The Ickabog is published today, complete with STUNNING pictures created by young illustrators around the world! I’m donating my royalties to my charitable Trust, Volant, to help medical and frontline charities support vulnerable groups impacted by Covid-19.”

Additionally, her fans were delighted after her announcement and flocked to the comment section and showed some reactions to the children’s book’s release.

A fan commented:

“Ordering two today. Much respect and admiration to you JK – you are one fantastic woman.”

Another fan said:

“We had pre-ordered and it arrived just as we were about to leave for school. Best excuse for being late ever – we were exclaiming over a new book!”
