James Gunn Lists His Biggest Inspirations For The ‘Peacemaker’ Series In An Amusing Way

Director James Gunn has recently responded to a fan’s question on his Twitter page and hilariously listed his biggest inspirations for the ‘Peacemaker’ series.

James Gunn cited many unique sources as inspiration for HBO’s upcoming series Peacemaker. As you know, Gunn recently announced that the shooting of The Suicide Squad is completely finished. He will be releasing Peacemaker, played by John Cena, with Suicide Squad before its release on HBO Max. Moreover, although the character is yet to be seen, John Cena caused great expectations from fans.

James Gunn revealed his unique sources, including Breaking Bad’s prequel drama, Better Call Saul, after a fan on Twitter asked what his inspiration was when creating the Peacemaker.

James Gunn said his biggest inspiration was that John Cena slept with the Peacemaker costume and took the costume home to wear. He also listed Better Call Saul, Dance Dance Revolution, tightie-whities, Def Leppard, the 1970’s Captain America TV movie, and a rotten childhood as the inspiration.

Here’s the tweet:

“My biggest inspiration is @JohnCena taking a costume home to see what it’s like to nap in it. Other big inspirations are Better Call Saul, Dance Dance Revolution, tightie-whities, Def Leppard, the 1970’s Captain America TV movie, and a rotten childhood.”

The official Twitter page of Better Call Saul commented:

“We don’t always beam, but when James Gunn mentions us, we beam. #BetterCallSaul”

James Gunn replied:

“You were the greatest show on TV even before you beamed.”
