James Gunn Reveals The Inspiration For The Suicide Squad’s Weasel

Director James Gunn has revealed the inspiration for The Suicide Squad’s Weasel on his official and verified Twitter account.

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is a sequel to the 2016 movie, and like the first movie, it will feature a group of supervillains from the DC Expanded Universe who are forced to assemble a team and fight evil.

Fans are wondering who will play in the movie. A bunch of photos that surfaced in October 2019 revealed that James Gunn’s brother Sean Gunn was cast in the role of the CGI character, and it was revealed that he was playing Weasel.

DC Comics fans are already familiar with Weasel and remember the character from the first comic book in 1985. In the comics, Monroe was a physics student with a coyote and cheesy personality who became a Weasel to kill his former classmates who made fun of him. He later joined the Suicide Squad and was killed in 1988.

Recently, James Gunn revealed his inspiration for the character on Twitter. He tweeted a photo of his brother Sean wearing a shirt that showed Bill the Cat and he was inspired by his brother’s t-shirt t create Weasel.

Here’s what James Gunn said:

“My brother’s shirt last night (for those who don’t know, Bill the Cat was the inspiration for his character The Weasel in #TheSuicideSquad).”
