James Gunn Reveals Why Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3 Is The Last Marvel Movie To Come Out

Director James Gunn has explained why ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3’ is the last Marvel movie to come out on his verified Twitter account.

James Gunn announced on his Twitter account Monday that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, the third film in the Guardians of the Galaxy story, will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.

However, some fans did not seem to be very happy with this release date, and a Twitter fan asked why Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is the last Marvel movie to come out.

James Gunn felt the need to respond by quoting his fan’s tweet and explained to his fan why this was not possible. Gunn said The Suicide Squad, Pacemaker, TV series, Guardians Holiday Special, and The Guardians Disneyland will air.

He also revealed that he spent the entire year 2020 writing scripts and wrote more than 500 scripts, saying that he was very busy. However, the director seemed quite pleased to see his fans so excited about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.

Here’s what James Gunn said:

“Between now & then we have The Suicide Squad, the Peacemaker TV series, the Guardians Holiday Special & the Guardians ride at Disneyland all coming out. Last year I wrote over 500 pages of script that’ll all be shot over the next year. I’m busy! (But thanks for being excited.)”
