George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, on May 25, 2020. Following his death, people have started the Black Lives Matter movement across the US.

The 47-year-old black man George Floyd asked for help, stating that he could not breathe when he was being put into custody by police officer Derek Chauvin while applying pressure to his neck with his knee. George Floyd passed away after the harsh intervention of Derek Chauvin.
Jamie Foxx took to Instagram to remember George Floyd on the one-year anniversary of his death by sharing an illustration of Floyd’s portrait, including Floyd’s name, birthday, and death date.
