Jamie Foxx Remembers His Late Grandmother Estelle Marie Talley In Honor Of Her Birthday
Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx has updated his Instagram feed and paid tribute to his grandmother, Estelle Marie Talley, who adopted Foxx, In honor of her birthday.
Jamie Foxx was officially adopted and raised by his grandmother, Estelle Marie Talley, when he was 7 months old. Estelle Marie Talley was Foxx’s legal heir until she died at the age of 95 after an 11-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
On Thursday, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram and remembered his late grandmother in honor of her birthday. Foxx showed how much he missed her while showing his love and gratitude for her.
Here’s what Jamie Foxx said:
“Estelle Marie Talley…you adopted me at seven months… You filled me up with everything that I needed to be a successful young man…There’s not a day that goes bye and that I don’t feel your presence… May 7th will always be a day of joyous sweet memories… Happy birthday grannie. Always missing uuu.”
Jamie Foxx has a hard start in life. His parents, Louise Annette Talley Dixon and Darrell Bishop left Foxx behind before his first birthday. Luckily, he had an amazing grandmother.
During a recent interview with Josh Tyrangiel of Time, Foxx talked about his grandmother. He said:
“My grandmother was 60 years old when she adopted me. She ran a nursery school and had a library in the house. She saw me reading early, saw I was smart and believed I was born to achieve truly special things.”
