Actor and singer Jamie Foxx has updated his Instagram page to share a letter after the sad death of the pioneering Hollywood actress Cicely Tyson.
Pioneering Hollywood actress Cicely Tyson, who was known for portraying strong African-American characters, has died aged 96. The devastating news was announced by her manager.
However, the cause of death was not disclosed. She has received incredible awards in her 70-year career. Tyson received two Emmys for her role in Jane Pittman’s 1974 civil rights-era film The Autobiography. She was also the first black woman to take on a significant part in the East Side/West Side television drama in the 1960s.
On Friday night, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram to pay his tribute to the legendary name. In his message, Foxx started his message by saying that she has been blessing the world for 96 years. He said she was wonderful and glorious throughout her career and added that someone like her would never come.

“You have a blessed this world for 96 years… During that time you have captivated us with your performances… We’ve laughed with you we’ve cried with you… We have been inspired by you…
The words have not been created to describe how wonderful and majestic you were… They will never be another Cicely Tyson… You standalone in your brilliance… Rest in power.”
