Jean-Claude Van Damme Reveals How He Feels After Working With New Generation Artists In Netflix Debut

Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, who is known as ‘The Muscles From Brussels,’ has officially reserved his first role with Netflix.
The 1990s action icon will portray a mysterious former Secret Service agent in his first work for the streamer and his first action-comedy called ‘The Last Mercenary.’
In addition to Van Damme, The Last Mercenary includes names from the new generation such as Albanian Ivanov, Assa Sylla, Samir Decazza, Patrick Timsit, Eric Judor, and Miou-Miou. The action-comedy will be directed by David Charhon.
Jean-Claude says he is very excited to play on a new genre, and he will make his debut in a Netflix movie. He also praises David Charhon for pointing out the successes of the director’s career. He said:
“The Last Mercenary is an incredibly exciting project and allows me to take on a new genre. I’ve always been a fan of Jean-Paul Belmondo, and I hope to take up the torch of action comedy in my own way. David Charhon’s script brings all these elements together in a very successful way – a beautiful story with emotion, a lot of action, and a lot of humor.”
The 59-year-old actor also said he is delighted to portray with the new generation artists and said that the actors in the movie are very talented. He continued:
“I’m also very happy to work alongside a new generation of talents such as Alban Ivanov, Assa Sylla, and Samir Decazza, but also to be reunited on-screen with the creme de la creme of French actors such as Patrick Timsit, Eric Judor, Miou-Miou, and Valérie Kaprisky.”
Van Damme announced his debut for Netflix movie on his official Instagram page, sharing a photo of his famous split. He captioned:
“A bit of news from me…”
